Allegheny Cemetery
Established in 1844, Allegheny
Cemetery is one of the oldest and largest burial grounds in
the country. Its 300 acres include the
resting places of Stephen Foster, Stanley Turrentine, Josh Gibson,
and Harry Kendall Thaw, among other notables of regional history.
Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds and historical structures.

Carnegie
Museums of Pittsburgh
The Carnegie Museums are located within 15 minutes drive from the
16:62 Design Zone in the city's Oakland and North Side neighborhoods.
The Museum of Art includes The Heinz Architectural Center and The
Hall of Architecture. The Andy Warhol Museum features special exhibitions
from contemporary artists and a permanent collection and archive
of the works of Andy Warhol.
The
Mattress Factory
The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary
art that presents art you can get into room-sized environments,
created by in-residence artists. Located in the historic Mexican
War Streets of Pittsburgh's
North Side since 1977, the Mattress Factory is one of few museums
of its kind anywhere.

and Architecture Initiatives of the
Pittsburgh Cultural Trust
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust develops and promotes visual and
performing arts in downtown Pittsburgh. Their initiatives include
several public art and architecture projects, including works by
Louise Bourgeois, Michael Graves, Richard Haas, Robert Wilson, and
Richard Gluckman.

MCG is a multi-disciplinary center for arts and learning located

Two Frank Lloyd Wright houses are located within a 90-minute drive
from downtown Pittsburgh. Both are open to the public for tours.
The Frick Art & Historical
Center
Located approximately 5 miles from the Lawrenceville edge of the
Design Zone, The Frick Art and Historical Center is devoted to
the interpretation of the life and times of industrialist and art
collector Henry Clay Frick. Exhibitions of fine and decorative
art are also presented at the Center. Clayton, the restored Frick
family home is the cornerstone of the Center.
