From the North, taking 279 South:
follow the signs for Airport/Fort Pitt Bridge go straight through the first light (around the Convention Center) at next light, make a left onto Penn Avenue into The Strip District From the North, taking 579 South: Exit 14 - 579S Veterans Bridge
7th / 6th Avenue exit 7th Avenue exit - Convention Center> right off exit right at light onto Grant Street move to far left lane @ 11th Street sign second light, turn left onto 11th Street (in front of Greyhound Bus Station) first light, turn right onto Penn Avenue into The Strip District

From Pennsylvania Turnpike (via Route 28):

• From the Turnpike, take Exit 5 (Allegheny Valley) and follow Route 28 to Pittsburgh
• Several exits lead you to Lawrenceville and The Strip District --R.D. Fleming Bridge (62nd Street Bridge); turn left or right onto Butler Street in Lawrenceville --40th Street Bridge; turn left or right onto Butler Street in Lawrenceville --31st Street Bridge; turn right onto Penn Avenue and into Strip District; or go straight to Liberty Avenue; turn left onto Liberty; turn left onto 30th Street; turn right onto Penn Avenue (two-way traffic begins); take Penn Avenue to the Y in the road (Doughboy Square); bear left to Butler Street or right to continue on Penn.

From the South/West/Airport on 79, 22/30 East:

• follow all signs to Pittsburgh
• downtown Pittsburgh - 279N
• left lane through Fort Pitt Tunnel
• Exit 10 - 10th Street Bypass / Ft. Duquesne Blvd. / Convention Center
• left lane - Convention Center / Strip District
• go straight through the first light (around the Convention Center)
• at next light, make a left onto Penn Avenue into The Strip District

From the East, taking I-376 West:

• Exit 6 - Boulevard of the Allies (579S) - get in right lane
• Exit 7 - Convention Center
• straight through stop sign - stay in right lane
• right at light onto Grant Street
• move to far left lane @ 11th Street sign
• second light, turn left onto 11th Street (in front of Greyhound Bus Station)
• turn right at first light onto Penn Avenue or turn right at the next intersection (Smallman St.) into The Strip District

From the East End, via Fifth Avenue/Washington Boulevard

• Take Washington Boulevard towards the Allegheny River
• At the bottom of the hill, turn left and get in left lane (Right lane is for Highland Park bridge only)
• Before next light (at Pittsburgh Zoo entrance), get in right lane to pass straight through to Butler Street, Lawrenceville’s main business district corridor.
• Butler Street will also lead you to The Strip District—take Butler Street to 34 th Street, where it merges with Penn Avenue.
